Hatboro Baptist Church, Hatboro, PA is located on a main road in the borough. During the time that the church building has been closed for worship, members and friends have been meeting online for prayer time on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45 – 7:30 PM. One member suggested that two prayer mail boxes be made available to invite individuals in the community to share prayer requests. Two standard mail boxes were purchased and identified as “Just Mail for God” mailboxes. One decorated box is near the sidewalk on the front lawn of the church. Two members of the prayer group poured a cement footing to secure the wooden base. The second box is in the lobby of a nearby apartment building. Prayer cards and pens are in plastic holders with the mailboxes.

Prayer requests from the community have been received. Request include: For my father who had a heart attack; “That I repair my faith in God”; Families with various medical diagnoses; A social worker requested prayers for support and courage for residents and staff.

There is space on the prayer card for a name and contact information. To date, all of the requests have been anonymous except for a first name so we have not been able to connect with these individuals, except through our prayers. God knows these individuals and their special needs. It is a blessing to pray for members of the congregation and individuals who live in our community.
