Hi to all,
I hope this note finds you and your families healthy and safe. We are most certainly living in uncertain times and need the expertise of health ministers now more than ever. Our roles will be vital to the healing of body, mind and spirit, going forward.
We may feel vulnerable in a variety of ways. HMA has taken numerous steps to strengthen our association and in turn our members. We applied for and secured an EIDG (Economic Injury Disaster Grant) that provides some relief for small businesses. We also arduously applied for and secured a PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) grant that will be used for paying our two employees for two and a half months. These inflows are giving us breathing room in dealing with the economic challenges of the pandemic.
Furthermore, we are excited to be switching our communication platform to Zoom, with the first-year subscription being paid for by a generous donor. Stay tuned for Zoom dialog opportunities that will help us stay connected. We are working hard to make HMA what you need It to be.
We appreciate that times are hard right now and we are also excited for the future. All of you are doing so much hard work around COVID-19, mental health issues, grief, job loss, domestic violence, inequality, race relations etc. HMA is here to help you help others and stay healthy yourself.
For this reason, we have created a short survey for you to fill out. The Board, the Marketing Guidance Committee and the Membership Task Force are the impetus to this outreach. We want to hear from you, what you hope for HMA and how HMA can best serve you. We don’t want to make any assumptions that we know what is essential for you. Share your strong voices to help guide HMA to be all we can be for you/us and for those we serve!! We are in this together!
