CMS and the HHS Partnership Center have produced toolkits, videos and other resources for faith and community organizations on open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace. Fact sheets, bulletin inserts, talking points and how to plan an enrollment event in your community are available in the Health Care Law Toolkit for Faith and Community-Based Organizations and the Faith and Community Weeks of Action Toolkit.
CMS has produced three videos which can be shown in your congregation or community setting. Each video highlights national faith and community leaders sharing basic information about open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace:
We also know that many faith and community groups use social media. Follow HealthCare.gov on Facebook and Twitter. Organizations may want to like and re-tweet posts.
We also have a series of webinars on the Health Care Law with information on how to enroll and answers to your questions about the law. See the list below for more information.
Faith and community groups can share these resources as well as Outreach and Education materials on Marketplace.cms.gov. Consumers can enroll in health insurance and get their questions answered on HealthCare.gov. Health insurance literacy information for those new to health insurance is available on our From Coverage to Care website.
CMS and HHS works with external groups on open enrollment. The ACA Spotlight website has a tool to compare the cost of paying for health insurance verses the cost of paying for the penalty for not having health insurance: https://www.acaspotlight.org/cost_comparisons_s7.html
